‘From Not To Hot’ First Look: Mama June, Geno Argue Over Commitment

Mama June Shannon is desperate to walk down the aisle with boyfriend Geno Doak now that she’s pushing 40. However, she will learn the hard way that her beau isn’t ready to commit in the all-new season of “Mama June: From Not To Hot.”

WE tv recently gave fans a first look at Season 3 ahead of the show’s premiere next week. In the 12 minutes and 38 seconds video the network shared on YouTube, the mother of four adamantly gushes over her desire to wed her lover.

At the start of the sneak peek, Mama June immediately makes it clear that Geno has the ball in his court and he should do what she thinks he needs to do after their conversation in Las Vegas in the previous season. She even drops a hint when she tells her boyfriend that her daughter Pumpkin and husband Joshua are “happily married.”

Unfortunately, Geno doesn’t get what Mama June was trying to say. He even questions Honey Boo Boo’s mom if her statement was an oxymoron because for him, saying that somebody is “happily married” is like saying that someone is “blissfully dead.”

In his solo cam, Geno confesses that he’s actually not looking to tie the knot with Mama June. “How do you spell marriage? I think it’s both capitals, like N-O,” he says with a stern look on his face.

When Mama June throws a going away party for her and Alana because they are going to Hollywood for “Dancing With the Stars,” the 39-year-old television personality once again expresses her predicament about her 43-year-old boyfriend not making the first move to seal their relationship with wedding rings.

At the party, Mama June’s older sister Doe Doe asks her if she and Geno have spoken about the possibility of getting married following their Vegas adventure in Season 2. Doe Doe pushes Mama June to make it clear with Geno that she’s serious just so the latter would also get serious about this matter.

“I really wish that Geno would man up and decide what he wants in his life. I mean, because look, good women like me only come around once in a great while,” Mama June says in her solo-camera moment.

Toward the end of the clip, Mama June finally musters her courage to talk to Geno about what’s bothering her. Mama June tells her boyfriend that she was hoping for some changes after their Vegas trip, considering that he is now aware of how she feels and what she wants.

Mama June then drops a bombshell when she reveals to Geno that she’s not taking him with her and Alana to Hollywood because she now wants to spend some alone time with her daughter. After hearing her words, an irate Geno babbles and asks a series of questions on why he wasn’t informed earlier. Mama June then firmly says that this is all because Geno has been avoiding her proposed commitment.

As Mama June continues to reiterate her point, Geno decides to walk away from her. But Mama June grabs this chance to tell her boyfriend that he needs to do some thinking. Geno then proceeds to angrily open a bottle of beer before the video clip ends.
