In an effort to get firearms off the streets, the NYPD has scheduled a gun buyback event for Saturday in which gun owners can receive up to $600 for turning in their weapons.

The guns can be turned in no questions asked, according to the NYPD flier advertising the gun buyback program.

The buyback event kicks off at 10 a.m. Saturday at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Queens. The church’s address is 122-05 Smith St., Jamaica, NY, 11434. Gun owners can turn in their firearms for cash until 4 p.m. Saturday.

Each operable handgun or assault rifle can be turned in in exchange for a $200 bank card. Gun buyback participants can turn in as many guns as they’d like, but they’ll only receive the bank cards for the first three firearms.

Rifles and shotguns can also be turned in, with a $20 bank card being offered in exchange for those weapons.
