Obama, Bieber, Holiday Fervor to Cause Traffic Jams All Week

What do President Barack Obama and Justin Bieber have in common? Well, aside from having millions of Twitter followers and steadfast fans, they're also able to stop traffic, which is exactly what New York authorities are predicting when Obama and Bieber light the Rockefeller Christmas Tree on Wednesday.

A city officials says 48, 49, 50th and 51st Streets between Fifth and Sixth Avenue will be subject to closure on Wednesday according to the New York Post. Live and taped performances will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. according to the Rockefeller Center website.

Lincoln Square's annual Winter's Eve celebration is also expected to draw crowds Monday evening. Free entertainment begins at 5:30 p.m., which is expected to slowdown traffic on Broadway and Columbus Ave.from 59th to 72nd Street, according to the New York Daily News. Sixty-second Street between Broadway and Columbus Ave will be closed 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
