Even though OnePlus One did very well across the globe, the Chinese startup’s OnePlus 2 did not make the impact the predecessor was able to pull off. Following which, the company released OnePlus X and received a lukewarm response. Now, the OnePlus 3 is gearing up for release with cutting-edge configurations, complete with a stunning exterior design.

Now, two photos of the OnePlus 3 with a black back panel have surfaced. The images clearly show a USB Type-C port at the tail-end of the handset. The photos also confirm the existence of a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

As far as the rumored OnePlus 3 specifications and features go, this device is believed to carry a 5.5-inch display, complemented by a Full HD screen resolution. Under the hood, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC running at 2.2 GHz will power the handset, Android Central noted.

The OnePlus 3 is believed to come backed by a solid 4GB of RAM, similar to other flagship handsets released thus far. It will apparently come equipped with 32GB of built-in storage space. However, there is no word on the microSD card slot.

When it comes to camera configuration, a phenomenal 16-megapixel sensor has been rumored to be mounted at the back, in addition to the generous 8-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video chats.

On the software front, after the tiff with Cyanogen team, OnePlus settled for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based OxygenOS. And this arrangement will apparently continue in the OnePlus 2 successor as well. Rumors say the latest version OxygenOS 3.0 will run the OnePlus 3 out of the box.
