U.S. President Barack Obama managed to eliminate Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden at an appropriate moment because Obama was reportedly on bin Laden's hit list and would have been assassinated during the 2012 presidential elections, according to U.S. intelligence.

Following the successful mission of seizing and killing the most wanted terrorist Osama bin Laden last week in Pakistan, the U.S. came across a trove of evidence equivalent to 200 million pages of data, including computer, thumb drives and documents.

According to the CIA, the study in the past ten days has given more information than the past ten years worth of studying.

One of the most startling information is regarding the U.S. president, who was reportedly on bin Laden's hit list.

A U.S. intelligence official, who has gone through the data, has revealed that bin Laden despised Obama and could not even tolerate watching the U.S. president on television.

According to Daily Mail, bin Laden would even change the television channel as soon as Obama would appear on the television.

bin Laden considered the U.S. president as a violator of Muslim faith, the UK newspaper said, and had planned to assassinate him during the 2012 presidential elections.

This is probably very personal on bin Laden's part, to kill a President he believes has violated the Muslim faith, Daily Mail quoted a former FBI profiler, Brad Garrett, as saying.

Study has also shown that bin Laden was planning, until his last days, large terror campaigns that would surpass the scale of 9/11, believing only large-scale attacks would have any effect.
