People.com is reporting that the prosecutor responsible for prosecuting Paris Hilton and Bruno Mars on separate drug charges was arrested and booked into jail on drug charges of his own.

On Saturday, David Charles Schubert was booked into jail on a charge of possession of cocaine, according to jail records obtained by People.com. Possession of cocaine is a felony in Nevada.

Schubert's charge is the same as that on which Hilton and Mars were initially booked following their arrests approximately six months ago. Both Hilton and Mars later struck plea deals for their charges.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Schubert, who is a chief deputy district attorney, was arrested after allegedly buying crack cocaine from a street dealer while a police officer looked on.

The 41-year-old attorney is a member of a federal drug task force. According to People.com is he often assigned to Las Vegas' high profile and celebrity cases.
