Jewish families around the world are celebrating Passover with the traditional seder meal.

The holiday marks the Jewish exile from Egypt, under which Jews were the slaves of the Pharaoh.

Passover is celebrated for eight days, starting tonight at sundown.

Jewish families will gather around and hold their seders and leave out a glass of wine for the prophet Elijah to drink. Leavened bread is forbidden and matzoh, or unleavened bread, will be a staple of the seder meal along with four glasses of wine.
