Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, is being accused of cashing on the late princess.

Throughout his stint in “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here,” Burrell has been sharing some never before heard stories about Princes William and Harry’s mother. Some of the stories are quite touching, but others are also quite controversial.

For instance, Burrell became a tad bit emotional when he recounted the time he learned that Princess Diana has died. He said that he spoke with the princess and asked her to wake up if she was just joking.

But on Sunday, Burrell claimed that Princess Diana wrote her a letter and said that she fears for her life. The reality TV star said that the late princess was certain Prince Charles will have her killed from a car crash. In 1997, Princess Diana died in a car crash in Paris.

Even though some viewers are delighted to hear Burrell’s anecdotes about Princess Diana, some also believe that he is trying to cash in on her name. One critic said that none of Burrell’s stories are factual, and they have all been reported before. However, nothing has been confirmed until today.

Burrell also said that Prince Charles left Princess Diana in the hospital after she gave birth to Prince Harry so he could meet with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

“He wasn’t at the birth. Harry is lying into the cot, red hair, I suppose that’s a Spencer gene. She said, ‘Are you pleased, Charles?’ I’m delighted. I now have an heir and a spare.’ She said , ‘Well, that’s an odd thing to say why are you dressed up in black tie?’ He said, ‘My work is done, isn’t it now? I’m off to the theater with Camilla,’” said Burrell.

One critic said that this information was already written in Princess Diana’s memoir so there was no need to take about it again. Another critic said that Burrell is trying to dig old stories so that he can become relevant again.

“As if he couldn’t cash in on Diana more than he already has, hopefully he loses his passport and stays there,” said another critic.
