At least 6 people were killed and 23 injured in the blast that rocked CID police station at University Road, when suspected militants drove a car packed with explosives into a police station in the Pakistani town of Peshawar early on Wednesday morning.

The blast took place at about a kilometer's distance from the U.S. consulate and in the same district where a car bomb exploded last week as a U.S. consulate convoy passed by.
