“Pokémon Sun and Moon” fans can start the week off right after the long Labor Day weekend now that The Pokémon Company has released the newest teaser trailer for the upcoming “Pokémon Sun and Moon.” And by the looks of things, Pokémon gamers will be glad to know that the new trailer gives a few hints on the difference between the two games while also introducing new Pokémon, a new Alola form and the Aether Foundation.

The newest trailer starts off with the introduction of new Pokémon Null and Jangmo-o. According to Polygon, the former is a synthetic creature that can weather any storm and even defeat the powerful legendary creatures. On the other hand, the latter is said to be a scaly baby that has a knack for training intensively, so it can conquer its enemies.

Meanwhile, fans have not seen the last of the Alola forms yet as the new “Pokémon Sun and Moon” introduces the alter ego of Rattata’s evolved form, Alolan Raticate. The gaming website notes that the Alolan Raticate is heftier than its normal counterpart and even says that the Alola form has an aggressive grimace because of its chubby cheeks.

Meanwhile, another interesting and curious monster is featured in the new trailer. Named UB-01, this creature is considered an Ultra Beast, and it seems that this creature is not at all a Pokémon.

Heavy has learned through the official description for the UB-01 on the Pokémon website that Ultra Beasts possess great powers and they are seen as a threat to Pokémon and even to humans. What’s interesting according to the entertainment website is the fact that UB-01 is portrayed to move and resemble a young girl, with fans claiming on Reddit that this Ultra Beast is actually Professor Kukui’s “mysterious assistant” named Lillie.

Highlighted in the new trailer is the Aether Foundation, which is perceived as the organization that is attempting to study and understand the Ultra Beasts. The Aether Foundation is found in the manmade island of Aether Paradise, which per Polygon is home to refugee Pokémon and Aether Foundation researchers.

Introduced in the “Pokémon Sun and Moon” trailer is the president of the organization, Lusamine; Aether’s brach chief, Faba, and assistant, Wicke. The employees of the organization who are sporting white ensembles can also be spotted at some point in the teaser clip.

In addition, Team Skull’s enforcer, Gladion, is also featured in the new trailer, and it seems that this new character is very confident with his battling techniques as he can be seen saying, “You know you can’t beat me. You’ll just get your Pokémon hurt for no reason,” in the clip. Gladion joins previously announced Team Skull boss Guzma and the team’s admin, Plumeria.

The new trailer also introduces Poké Finder, which is a new mode designed by Game Freak to enable players to capture photos of wild Pokémon in the Alola region. Players are said to unlock new features of Poké Finder whenever they capture photos of top-rated wild Pokémon, as per IGN.

Another interesting bit that the new “Pokémon Sun and Moon” trailer features is the time difference in the “Pokémon Sun” and “Pokémon Moon.” Apparently, the two RPGs are set 12 hours apart, so playing “Pokémon Moon” at daytime would mean that its nighttime at the Alola Region.

Finally, a running quest that involves seeking for Zygarde’s Cells and Cores in the different areas of the Alola Region is featured in the teaser trailer. Looking for the Cells and Cores would gradually lead to the transformation of the unique Pokémon into its Complete Forme.

“Pokémon Sun” and “Pokémon Moon” are slated for release for the Nintendo 3DS this Nov. 18. Tune in for more updates and the latest news about the much-anticipated Pokémon games.
