Prince Harry's paternity remains an issue among some British citizens.

Daily Star recently conducted a poll involving over 10,000 of their readers asking who they believe is the real father of the Duke of Sussex between Prince Charles and James Hewitt. The majority of the participants, which is about 65 percent, responded that the rumors are not true and that the Prince of Wales is Prince Harry's biological father.

However, 35 percent, or around 3,600 people, remain unconvinced and voted for Hewitt as Prince Harry's real dad. The rumors about Hewitt and Prince Harry's paternity spring from their similar red hair.

The publication was surprised that many still believe that Prince Harry is Hewitt's son. "Random thought: everyone knows James Hewitt is Harry's real father," one user wrote on Twitter.

"Prince Harry must do a DNA test and put to rest his uncanny resemblance with all features and hair of Diana's lover, James Hewitt," another wrote.

Last week, one proof that Prince Harry's real father is indeed the Prince of Wales resurfaced: a photo of young, bearded Prince Charles. The Duke of Sussex and Duke of Cornwall's resemblance was so uncanny that many who thought Hewitt was Prince Harry's dad changed their minds.

"That settles it, Harry is definitely his son," one fan wrote.

"Really did think harry wasn't Charles son. But after seeing that pic of Charles with the beard. Wow uncanny!" another user commented.

"People are still questioning Harry's parentage, they can stop after seeing Charles in a beard," another fan wrote.

"I never thought Harry looked like Charles until I saw the photo with Charles with a beard!" another user commented.

Hewitt had already addressed the issue and denied the rumors that he is Prince Harry's biological father. According to him, Prince Harry was already a toddler when they met.

"Admittedly the red hair is similar to mine and people say we look alike," Hewitt told Sunday Mirror in 2002. "I have never encouraged these comparisons and although I was with Diana for a long time I must state once and for all that I'm not Harry's father. When I met Diana, he was already a toddler."
