Prince William and wife Kate Middleton have recently embarked on a seven-day royal tour of India and Bhutan. The royal couple’s first-day festivities were marked with a few revelations where one involved the Duchess of Cambridge’s travel bucket list, while the other revealed her worries over being away from children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s royal India and Bhutan tour may be the longest period that the royal couple has been away from the two children. Parents would know how anxiety-ridden such a situation may be. The royal mother-of-two has even admitted her concerns to Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit during the charity gala event held in Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace Hotel on Sunday, April 10, Hello magazine reported.

Madhuri shared with the reporters at the event that Kate told her she was “worried she may miss her children” during their India and Bhutan tour. The Bollywood actress also stated that the Duchess of Cambridge mentioned that she “loves” being in India and described the Indian people as “very welcoming.”

Prince William’s wife also spoke about children Prince George and Princess Charlotte during a conversation with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. The actor mentioned how the royal couple commented to leaving their children at home given their “jam-packed” tour schedule. He also stated that he invited the royal couple to come back to India someday to enjoy a longer stay in the country. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge replied that they would “love to” visit India again, Khan stated.

Meanwhile, Prince William also gave a speech during the gala event where he revealed his wife Kate’s number one must-see country. The Duke of Cambridge shared that “India was the first place” on his wife’s travel bucket list when they both got married. “Two children and five years later, we have finally made it – and we are both honored to be here,” Prince William added.

Sunday marked the royal couple’s first tour day in India. On their first day, Prince William and Kate visited the memorial at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel to pay their respects to the victims of the 2008 terrorist attack, Mirror reported. The two then met several children at the Oval Maidan cricket ground. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also played a friendly cricket match with cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.

The royal couple is set to visit other tourist spots and interesting locations in India, before heading off to Bhutan.
