It has been six months since Princess Charlotte was welcomed by her parents Prince William and Kate Middleton to the world. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are leading a quiet life with their baby daughter and son Prince George at their country home Anmer Hall.

The toddler, who is fourth in line to the British throne, was born in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London on May 2. She weighed over eight pounds during her birth. The newborn was visited by her older brother George for the first time the same day, after she spent a couple of hours with her parents.

Baby Charlotte became a fashion icon when she made her first public appearance dressed in a handmade white knitted jumper, a chemise with ruffled collar and a pair of matching tights by Spanish designer Irulea. The pieces were gifted to her by George’s Spanish nanny, Maria Borrallo. Irulea confirmed on its official Facebook page that Charlotte was indeed wearing the designer's clothes.

She was also wrapped in a white G. Hurt & Son blanket as she made her journey home to Kensington Palace with Will and Kate.

William and Kate named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana as a tribute to the prince’s late mother Diana, Princess of Wales. The baby princess met her great grandmother Queen Elizabeth II at Kensington Palace.

During her christening in July, she wore the same lace christening gown her brother had worn. The gown is an exact replica of Queen Victoria’s first child’s gown, worn 174 years ago, and has been used for every generation of royal babies. After 62 royal babies wore it, including the queen’s father, King George, the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry, the gown was remade by the Queen’s dresser, Angela Kelly, in 2004.

Charlotte’s grandfather Prince Charles, her uncle Prince Harry and her brother were all smitten by her. Charles called her “very beautiful” while Harry called his niece “absolutely beautiful.” George also showed his love for his baby sister in the first official photos of the siblings clicked by Kate Middleton.

William has gushed about his little daughter Charlotte during a visit to St John’s College, Cambridge University, where he studied agricultural management in October. He said his daughter is “ladylike” and a “little joy from heaven.”

Charlotte has not made any further public appearances, but royal fans expect that they will get a glimpse of the little royal when Kensington Palace is scheduled to release an official photo ahead of her very first Christmas in December.
