Queen Elizabeth II attended church alone after Prince Andrew’s interview.

On Sunday, the Queen was spotted on her way to church to attend a service at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor Great Park. She looked elegant in her matching turquoise jacket and hat, which she accessorized with pear earrings, Express reported.

The Queen’s sighting came shortly after Prince Andrew’s interview. The Duke of York has finally spoken up to explain his side about the Epstein scandal involving him. Prince Andrew has been in hot water due to his connections to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

In his interview, Prince Andrew shared his thoughts about his decision to stay at Epstein’s house which he admitted was “definitely the wrong thing to do.” He added that his judgment was “probably colored” at the time.

Virginia Giuffre, formerly known as Virginia Roberts, is one of the 16 women who alleges that Epstein abused her. She also named Prince Andrew in previous court papers. Prince Andrew denied the claims that he had sex with Giuffre.

Prince Andrew also said that the issue did not damage the Queen, but it affected him.

“This first came out in 2011...It was a surprise to all of us because the photographs were published at a different time to when I was there...as a family we discussed it,” Prince Andrew told the BBC’s “Newsnight.”

“And then in 2015 when the allegations were made and the deposition, there was a sort of...and this was the immediate family not the wider family...the wider family were couldn't be more supportive...the immediate family it was ‘what’s all this about...and we were all at a loss.”

In August, royal expert Marlene Koenig took to Twitter and called Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth II to intervene with Prince Andrew’s issues. She also advised Sarah Ferguson’s ex-husband to let his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie take over his patronages before adding that he should live quietly out of the public eye.
