La Liga powerhouses Real Madrid and Barcelona meet at the Santiago Bernabeu in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.

Both teams have notable players missing, but Barcelona is more hampered by injuries than Real Madrid.

The Catalans will be without Andres Iniesta. The midfield star didn't make the trip to Madrid because of a calf strain.

Barcelona will also be without defenders Maxwell, Eric Abidal, and Adriano.

The good news for Pep Guardiola is that he will have Carles Puyol in the lineup. The central defender was bothered by a hamstring injury in the Copa del Rey Final. Also, Gabriel Milito will be in the lineup for the Catalans.

Guardiola has called up youth team players Thiago Alcantara, Sergi Roberto and Martin Montoya to the squad.

For the home side, Real Madrid will be without Sami Khedira and Fernando Gago due to injuries, but perhaps an even bigger blow was the loss of Ricardo Carvalho due to suspension.

By the way, Iker the Octopus picked Real Madrid to win.
