D.C. police has labeled the man seen in the above video as a person of interest in the case of missing 8-year-old Relisha Rudd, and is urging the public to help identify the man so they can talk to him about Relisha’s disappearance.

Relisha was last seen March 1 and was believed to have been abducted by Kahlil Tatum, the 51-year-old janitor at the D.C. homeless shelter where the 8-year-old lived with her mother. Tatum’s body was found in D.C.’s Kenilworth Park earlier this week during a search for Relisha. Tatum was also suspected of murdering his wife, 51-year-old Andrea Denis Tatum, who was killed in a Maryland hotel room late last month, according to the FBI.

It’s unclear how the investigation led police to identify the person of interest, and D.C. police said they weren’t able to say publicly when and where the video of the man was taken because “it may negatively impact the investigation.” But authorities did say they “believe this individual may have information and we are only looking to speak to him.”

On its YouTube account Friday, D.C. police urged anyone who can identify the person of interested or knows of his whereabouts to call police at 202-727-9099 or text tips to 50411.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the location and return of Relisha. Anyone who sees the missing 8-year-old girl is urged to call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
