“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kim Richards has reportedly checked into rehab for substance abuse. The 50-year-old reality TV personality is said to be seeking help after sitting down with Dr. Phil to talk about her April 16 arrest and sobriety.

According to TMZ, Richards is now at a “live-in facility” in Malibu. Although sources close to the “RHOBH” star initially revealed that Richards was refusing treatment, TMZ reports that she made the decision “after consulting with family.” Insiders say she’s willing to stay at the Malibu rehab for “as long as it takes.”

Kim Richards was arrested earlier this month after reportedly causing a drunken scene at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She was charged with trespassing, resisting arrest, public intoxication and battery after allegedly kicking a police officer. Richards has claimed to be sober for the past three years, however she confessed to drinking prior to her arrest during a sit down with Dr. Phil McGraw.

The interview, which will air on Tuesday, April 28, seemingly hints at an at attempt to get Richards professional help for her alcohol addiction. However, a clip from Access Hollywood teases that the reality star will not take the pressure well. The video shows the Housewife getting out of her seat in tears after questioning whether or not the sit down is part of an intervention.

Although her sobriety has been a hot topic on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, her place on the bravo show is reportedly in jeopardy. Execs allegedly see the star as a “liability.”

“There’s no interest in putting her back on television unless she’s addressed her issues,” an insider told Us Weekly following her arrest. “The show didn’t trigger her addiction – and her recovery also needs to happen outside of it.”
