Rapper Rick Ross suffered a seizure on a plane serious enough to force the pilot to land so Ross could receive CPR, TMZ reports -- but colleagues of the rapper said on Twitter Friday that he was fine.

I just talked to Ross...he's 100 pct ok... tweeted rapper Wale. Soon after, someone tweeted from Ross' account in response to hip-hop journalist Elliott Wilson.

Don't scare a n---- like that. Thanks, wrote Wilson.

Ross -- or at least someone logged into his account -- tweeted: Never dat, homie.

The rapper was on a flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Memphis when he fell unconscious, TMZ said. Ross had also tweeted before the incident that he was on his way to Memphis.

Citing a witness, TMZ said Ross fell unconscious soon after takeoff and that a doctor began CPR in the air. He appeared to show signs of life as he was wheeled from the plane, and was taken to a hospital.

A call to emergency workers said he had suffered a seiure, the site said.

The Live Fast, Die Young performer, who is 35, is best known for a long feud with 50 Cent and the embarrassing revelation that he worked as a correctional officer in the 1990s.

Born William Leonard Roberts II, he took his stage name from infamous drug trafficker Freeway Ricky Ross. He is the founder of Mayback Music Group.

He also performed one of the voices in singer T-Pain's Freaknik: The Musical, which aired on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim in 2010.

His new album, God Forgives, I Don't, will be released Dec. 13.
