The Ron Paul for 2012 campaign released its first advertisement on Thursday and boy is it a doozy. The advertisement is meant to resemble a movie trailer and is sure to get people talking.

In the minute long video, presidential hopeful Ron Paul shows striking comparisons between the budget issues Ronald Reagan faced in the 1980s and the current issues that plague President Obama. Paul shows images of politicians on both sides compromising to unworthy deals, and vows that he will not do the same.

In the '80s, they did it to Reagan -- a debt-ceiling compromise, the ad said. The '90s brought more compromise, more broken promises and more new taxes.

But Paul claims he won't fall into those traps, stating he will Cut Spending, Balance the Budgets, (Make) No Deals.

The advertisment is expected to air in early-primary states.

Paul announced on Tuesday that he would not seek re-election in the House of Representatives in order to focus entirely on the 2012 presidential elections. Paul has previously ran and lost three presidential elections.

He currently is considered a longshot to win the Republican Party's presidential nomination.
