Rory McIlroy, the winner of the 2011 U.S. Open was so elated about his record breaking win, that he sent a photo of his championship trophy to his followers on Twitter.

In the same tweet, he mentioned the key words winning and bounceback.

The bounceback reference presumably refers to breaking through for his first major championship, after falling short at the 2010 PGA Championships and 2011 Masters Tournament, which he lost in crushing fashion after having a lead.

Though not officially confirmed, Rory McIlroy may perhaps be the first major champion to tweet from the post-tournament press conference.
