Jackass star Bam Margera broke multiple ribs while tackling his neighbor on Wednesday.

Bam Margera tweeted: "Hospital radness, bam bam may have broke ribs and arm from tackling the neighbor last night."

He later confirmed: "Just as I thought, 3 broken ribs, still finding out about the elbow."

TMZ reported Margera as stating that he tumbled down the stairs while he was racing his neighbor up the stairs. Bam said: "I tackled my neighbor and fell down the stairs horsing around. I'm still in the hospital."

Bam Margera was also in news for belting out a rap number "Runnin" in Pennsylvania as part of his campaign to raise funds for the widow of Zachary Hartwell, who was Ryan Dunn's co-passenger in the tragic car accident.

Ryan Dunn and his co-passenger Zac Hartwell died after Dunn's 2007 Porsche 911 GT3, which was capable of hitting 190 mph, swerved off the road and hit a tree before breaking into flames.

Margera was at the center of the controversy created by Pulitzer Prize winner film critic Roger Ebert who commenting on Dunn's death had tweeted: "Friends don't let jackasses drink and drive." Margera had responded to the tweet stating: "I just lost my best friend, I have been crying hysterical for a full day and piece of s***t roger Ebert has the gall to put in his 2 cents."

Ebert later apologized for his untimely comment.
