Debbie Reynolds won the Lifetime Achievement award at the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards, but she couldn’t let the moment be all about her. Reynolds’ daughter Carrie Fisher presented the award, and Reynolds couldn’t give up an opportunity to embarrass her daughter. Like any proud parent, she spoke about her daughter’s biggest success, her role as Princess Leia in the original “Star Wars” trilogy.

The actress spoke about one of her favorite roles, Kathy in “Singin’ in the Rain.” “Of course, I had a wonderful hairdo in that picture,” Reynolds said. “I know some of you may not remember this, but I had a bun. At the back of my head, I had a big bun -- an ugly bun. So I warned my daughter Carrie, who had just gotten a part in a picture -- Princess Leia in ‘Star Wars,’ I said, 'Well Carrie, be careful of any weird hairdos.' So luckily, George [Lucas] gave her two buns. Thank you George.”

Reynolds won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2015 SAG Awards for her 66-year career on film, television and stage.
