While many details about the Galaxy Note 8 hardware has surfaced ahead of its launch, there hasn’t been that much said about the device’s software, until now. SamMobile recently discussed that the upcoming smartphone is expected to run the Samsung Experience 8.5 version interface on top of the Android Nougat operating system. Samsung is especially aiming to improve the fluidity of the UX. Users can also expect software updates to Samsung’s iris and face recognition features.

The manufacturer introduced the Samsung Experience interface in 2016 on the Galaxy Note 7, rebranding its TouchWiz interface, which has gotten a lot of flack for aspects, such as excessive bloatware.

The Samsung Experience; however, is known from its clean and minimalistic look. More recently, on Samsung Experience 8.1 the manufacturer has introduced interesting features such as a swipe up to access the app drawer feature. This version of the interface runs on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.

Many of the Galaxy Note 8 hardware features have leaked over several months and weeks and are largely believed to be accurate at this point. They include a dual-edge curved display between 6.3-inches and 6.4-inches, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip (U.S.), 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, a dual camera with a 12-megapixel optical lens and 13-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and a 3,300mAh battery. Among many color options, recent reports indicate Samsung will introduce a new model called Deep Sea Blue.
