Samsung (KRX:005935) will launch the Wi-Fi only version of its newly announced Galaxy NotePro tablet in the UK next week, according to the company’s website, which also notes that Samsung will offer a free Gamepad for all customers who pre-order the device.

The company website revealed that the new Galaxy NotePro tablet is set for an official launch scheduled for Feb. 4, while interested customers can pre-order the device for 649 pounds ($1,076), which is seen by many as an exorbitant amount.

Although Samsung is yet to confirm the Galaxy NotePro’s launch price for the U.S., the Wi-Fi only version of the device is rumored to be available for a comparatively reasonable $800 in the country, SamMobile reported.

While the NotePro’s UK availability is officially confirmed, it is still unclear when the device will hit retail stores in the U.S. Samsung said, during the device’s announcement at the International CES in Las Vegas earlier this month. The company added that both Galaxy NotePro and TabPro tablets would be offered globally and would be available starting from the first quarter of 2014.

The Galaxy NotePro is a 12.2-inch tablet, featuring a WQXGA screen with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels. The device is powered by an eight-core Exynos 5 Octa 5420 processor (quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex A15, quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A7), and it sports 3 GB of RAM, an 8-mega-pixel rear camera, a 2-mega-pixel front camera and 32 GB internal storage with a micro-SD card slot.

The Galaxy NotePro also features Wi-Fi ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB v3.0 connectivity and Android 4.4 KitKat on the new Magazine UX user interface optimized for large-screen tablet displays. Being a device from the Note series, the NotePro also comes with Samsung’s S Pen stylus.
