The day has finally come. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is available for pre-order, in UK at least, and tech enthusiasts across the pond have a host of carriers and retailers from which to choose.

The fourth-generation Galaxy S series smartphone will be available on EE, Vodafone, Three, 02, Virgin, Amazon, Carphone Warehouse, Phones4U, Clove and Unlocked Mobiles. Having such options means Britons will also have a variety of prices and deals to take advantage of when buying their Galaxy S4 handset.

The Galaxy S4 is set to release on April 26 in the UK, but many sellers note that high demand may push back delivery dates by several days or even weeks.

It will be interesting to see what pre-order numbers look like once the numbers are tabulated. In May 2012 prior to its release, pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S3 hit approximately 10 million. Recently, popular European retailer Carphone Warehouse reported garnering four-times the pre-sale inquiries for the Galaxy S4 than it did for the Galaxy S3 last year. If the S4 four follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, we should see some large pre-order numbers coming out of the gate.
