The Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5 smartphones are both expected to get unveiled on Feb. 21. Both the smartphones are expected to release with improved features over their predecessor models. Hence, from the announcement date, both smartphones are expected to enter fierce competition.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected appear similar to its predecessor, Galaxy S6 that was released last year. However, it is rumored to be sporting slimmer bezels, Phone Arena reported. On the other side, the LG G5 is expected to arrive with a full-metallic chassis. The Galaxy S7 will be featuring a 5.1-inch Quad HD screen whereas the LG G5 is expected to house a larger Quad HD screen of 5.6 inches.

Chipset, RAM and Storage

The Galaxy S7 will be launched in two chipset variants, one featuring a Snapdragon 820 chipset and the other one with Exynos 8890 chipset. Both the chipset variants will feature 4 GB of RAM. It will arrive with storage choices of 32 GB and 64 GB. Rumors suggest that it will feature a microSD slot.

The LG G5 will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset that will be accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. It will feature an internal storage of 32 GB. Like the predecessor models, it will also feature a microSD expansion slot.

Cameras, Software And Other Features

Speculations suggest that the Galaxy S7 will be fitted with an f/1.7 aperture 12.3-megapixel rear camera. The BRITECELL technology onboard will help the camera in snapping good quality photos in low-lighting conditions, Value Walk reported. It will also feature a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel

The LG G5 is expected to arrive with dual camera module that will house 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel cameras. It will feature a selfie camera of 8-megapixel.

Both the smartphones will arrive with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS onboard. However, the Galaxy S7 will also feature the TouchWiz UI. Both the devices will also arrive with fingerprint scanners.

The Galaxy S7 will be packed with a 3000 mAh battery. Rumors are rife that through a draw-like mechanism at its bottom side, the LG G5 will allow users to easily swap a battery. The LG G5 is also expected to house a 3000 mAh battery. The starting variant of Galaxy S7 is expected to cost $649 whereas the LG G5 is pegged to be priced at $599.
