Samsung cut the price of the Wi-Fi version of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 to $279 in May. Now the tablet is available for even less.

On Newegg, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 can be had for $259. The retailer also is selling the Galaxy S Tab 10.5 with a discount of $100 for $399.

According to the specs listed on GSM Arena, the Samsung device is a very slim tablet that has a thickness of 6.6 mm and weighs 294 g.

The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is fitted with an 8.4 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen. It supports a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and pixel density of 359 ppi. The tablet is powered by the Exynos 5 Octa 5420 chipset that comes with an octa-core processor and Mali-T628 MP6 graphics.

The chipset is supported by 3 GB of RAM. The tablet comes with internal storage options of 16 GB and 32 GB. The device supports up to 128 GB of microSD on its external storage.

The tablet comes preloaded with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and can be upgraded to 5.1.1 Lollipop. It features an 8 MP camera of LED flash. On the front, there is selfie camera of 2.1 MP.

It is available in two color options of dazzling white and titanium bronze. It comes with connectivity options such as microUSB, Wi-Fi and 4.0 Bluetooth. It is equipped with a non-removable battery of 4,900 mAh.

Another Samsung tablet, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 that was launched in January 2014, is also now available with a price cut of $100 on Best Buy. The new price of the device with the retailer is $199.

According to Phone Arena, Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 in this month. Since newer models are coming so soon, the South Korean tech giant is discounting existing tablets like the Galaxy S 8.4.
