Samsung had unveiled the original Gear Fit wearable device in 2014 and now it is speculated to launch its successor on Thursday. Its entire specifications have been revealed by the rumor mill.

According to Sam Mobile, the Samsung Gear Fit 2 will be coming with a 1.55-inch S-AMOLED curved display. It will be supporting a resolution of 216 x 432 pixels. It will be sporting a IP68 certified chassis that will protect it from dust and water damage.

It will be fueled by 1GH dual-core processor from Samsung and 512 GB of RAM. It will be featuring an internal storage of 2 GB. It runs on Tizen 2.3 OS and will be equipped with other features such as GPS, GLONASS, accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope and heart rate sensor and a 200 mAh battery.

The publication has revealed several leaked renders of the upcoming Samsung Gear Fit 2 fitness tracker. A tweet from well-known leakster has revealed that it may arrive in three color options such as black, blue and dark pink.

As of this writing, there is no information available on the pricing of the device. The original Gear Fit was launched at $199. Hence, its successor is speculated to be priced around $200.

Samsung will be holding a launch event on June 2 and it has already sent out invitations to the media. It will be held at New York City starting at 5 PM. The press invitation reads “experience how Samsung’s devices work together to create a Galaxy of Possibility.”

Samsung is known for announcing its flagship smartphones through its “Unpacked” events. Hence, the South Korean tech giant will not be announcing new smartphones on June 2.

Speculations suggest that the Samsung Gear Fit 2 will be unleashed at the event. Other rumors hint that a Bluetooth-powered “Gear IconX” earbuds will be unveiled. The Gear IconX is expected to come with a dust and water resistant body and it is rumored to carry an internal storage of 4 GB.
