If you're into gadgets as well as glitz, Samsung has just the device for you: the Gear S smartwatch, which is now a part of the "Swarovski for Samsung" Collection.
Samsung Electronics Co. (KRX:005930) announced its blinged-out smartwatch on Tuesday, not only introducing a new design to its gadget but also presenting a new Swarovski product called Crystal Fine Mesh. The product embeds Swarovski crystals directly into the metal mesh of the strap on the Samsung Gear S.
“Samsung and Swarovski share a commitment to bringing high-quality, highly desirable products to the consumer market,” Swarovski executive vice president of global marketing Christoph Kargruber said in a statement. “Together we will continue to write the success story we began with the 'Swarovski for Samsung' collection.”
The crystal meshed Samsung Gear S will be available at Samsung’s online stores and its Experience retail store in October. Price details for the smartwatch have not yet been announced. Samsung and Swarovski also plan to work together to create Crystal Fine Mesh cases for Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 flagship, which is expected to be unveiled Wednesday.
Notably, Samsung’s collaboration with Swarovski began in February when the companies introduced a limited-edition line of crystal-encrusted cases for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which were showcased at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.
