A new promo of Samsung's upcoming Gear S2 smart has been released online, showing a circular dial. The device was showcased during the recent Unpacked event, alongside the high-end Galaxy series of handsets.

Based on the new promo, Phone Arena reported that the circular bezel, surrounding the display, will apparently be a navigation ring, which can be utilized to communicate with the smart watch. The new video flaunts the tagline "Ready to turn” and shows the brilliant user interface of the wearable gadget, which comes with circular icons, matching the dial. Meanwhile, Phone Arena says, the Gear S2 might very well be the best device to give Apple Watch a run for its money.

Moving on to the Samsung Gear S2 specifications, the upcoming smartwatch will reportedly run on the South Korean tech giant’s own Tizen OS. The predominant features include the fitness tracking mechanism and a slew of different watchfaces to choose from. To top it off, the gadget will reportedly come with chronometer, stopwatch, circular app launcher and S Health app, which keeps track of the basic health monitoring metrics.

However, the promotional video of Samsung Gear S2 does not give out any information about the device's specs, Phone Arena reported, adding that the smart watch could be made of metal. The bands, on the other hand, could settle for rubberized material.

The Samsung Gear S2 release date has reportedly been set for Sept. 3 at the IFA 2015 event.
