While Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband, Lamar Odom, fights for his life following an overdose, Kourtney Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend is reportedly in rehab. In an effort to improve his chances at getting unsupervised time with his three children, Scott reportedly decided to get help for his alcohol and substance abuse problem.

Us Weekly reported that Scott is in a Malibu rehab facility just hours after reports also came out that Lamar was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel Tuesday. The report said that Scott has decided to check into a program and stick to it. This isn’t his first rehab stint, but he has notoriously left the other programs prematurely.

This time, he is reportedly determined to get his problem sorted so that he could be allowed to share custody of his three children with Kourtney. After being together for nine years, the former couple share 5-year-old Mason, 3-year-old Penelope and 10-month-old Reign.

They broke up in July this year and Scott has since moved out of the sprawling Calabasas mansion that they once shared. He has since been spotted visiting the children at his former home and he has also been taking them out for some quality time. However, Kourtney reportedly isn’t confident that he can be left unsupervised with the children for extended periods.

In the Season 10 finale of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Kourtney opened up about their breakup and Scott’s behavior. She said that she wants to be mad at him for continuing to be an irresponsible party animal but at the same time, she is concerned for his well-being. She thinks an intervention might be needed.

Kourtney’s mom Kris Jenner responded by saying that maybe some jail time could shake him up and make him come to his senses. Rehab isn’t prison, but it appears Scott is trying to take a step in the right direction. It remains to be seen if he will stick to it this time around.
