Emma Roberts recently shared that she understood why her aunt Julia Roberts never wanted to be on “American Horror Story” after watching an episode of the series.

The “Scream Queens” actress told E!News while promoting Godiva's new Toys for Tots fundraiser, Hot Chocolate for a Cause, that she was “terrified” when she got the chance to watch “American Horror Story” (AHS). Emma’s mentioned that she doesn’t “blame” Julia for not wanting to be part of the AHS series.

Emma even recounted a time when she was in a hotel watching “American Horror Story” on her computer. “I realized that I was staying in a hotel and I literally turned it off so fast,” she told E!News. “[I] turned all the lights on and went to sleep with all the lights on. I was like, 'I don't even care that I know these people—I'm terrified.'"

The actress had previously wanted to be part of the “American Horror Story” cast, but her busy schedule prevented her from doing so. However, Emma shared with E!News that she’s open to joining the series for its next season. "I hope so, if they'll have me. I'm always ready to do American Horror Story,” she stated. “It's always a wild time on that show so I would love to be back."

Meanwhile, the “Pretty Woman” star previously shared that she has no plans to join the Ryan Murphy’s hit anthology series “American Horror Story.” Julia, who became friends with Ryan over the years, explained during the promotion of her new project “Secret in Their Eyes” in November that she “can’t even get through the commercials” when watching the show, according to PerezHilton.com.

“When the first American Horror Story came out, remember the first poster? I said to him, 'OK, I curse you,” she shared. “I stop at a traffic light and I have to look at that thing on billboards. It gives me the willies. What is that? What is going on? What have you done?'"

She added, "Ryan was like, 'Oh, lady—you won't even get through the commercials.' I'm like, there's no way."

However, Julia is still supportive of Emma who has been a regular at AHS. "I try to support my Emma,” she stated. “But I don't like it."
