UPDATE: June 29 — Netflix has announced that “Sense8” will return in 2018 for a movie. Get details HERE.

Original story: Although “Sense8” is not coming back, that doesn’t mean fans have to say goodbye to their favorite actors. Several cast members are already working on new projects after Netflix decided to cancel the sci-fi series about people who are psychically linked. Audiences might want to tune in to these new TV shows and movies if they’re missing their favorite actors.

Tuppence Middleton: After playing sensate Riley for two seasons, Middleton will play someone more ordinary in her next gig. She’ll be in a British TV movie called “Diana and I,” airing on BBC Two later this year. The story follows four average people the week after Princess Diana’s death.

Middleton will also be on the big screen. She’ll star alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Katherine Waterston, Tom Holland and Nicholas Hoult in “The Current War.” The film shows Thomas Edison (Cumberbatch) and George Westinghouse (Michael Shannon) trying to perfect a sustainable electricity system and deliver it to the American people. Middleton plays Mary Edison in the film, which will be released Dec. 22.

Miguel Ángel Silvestre: Lito was often hilarious, so it isn’t surprising that Silvestre’s next gig is a comedy. He’ll star in the animated movie “Ferdinand,” which follows a bull who is mistaken for being dangerous but just wants to return to his family. John Cena, Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez, Daveed Diggs, David Tennant and more lend their voices to the film, which will hit the big screen Dec. 15.

Jamie Clayton: The Nomi actress has a role in “The Snowman,” which is set to hit theaters Oct. 21. The mysterious drama follows a detective (Michael Fassbender) who is investigating a woman’s (Rebecca Ferguson) disappearance when her scarf shows up on a snowman. Clayton will be joined by an all-star cast including Chloë Sevigny, Val Kilmer, Toby Jones and J.K. Simmons.

Doona Bae: The Sun actress is working on projects in South Korea. First up is a new TV series, “Forest of Secrets.” She’s also filming a movie called “Drug King,” which is a crime drama.

Max Riemelt: Though he won’t get to resolve Wolfgang’s massive cliffhanger, Riemelt will reprise another role. He’ll star in “Free Fall 2,” which is funded by an IndieGoGo campaign. He’ll play Kay, a cop who fell in love with his fellow police officer in the 2013 original. Riemelt is also set to star in a sci-fi thriller called “Golem: The Return.”

Sense8 cast
Though “Sense8” was canceled, the cast still has projects that fans can look forward to. Netflix

Brian J. Smith: The Will actor is signed on to star in “22 Chaser,” an action film about a tow truck driver trying to provide for his struggling family. Smith has also been doing a lot of stage work. After scoring an Olivier nomination for his work in the West End’s “The Glass Menagerie,” the actor is starring opposite Marcia Gay Harden in “Sweet Bird Youth” at the Chicester Festival Theater in West Sussex, England. The production runs until June 24.

Daryl Hannah: The veteran actress, who played the mother of the “Sense8” cluster, has plenty of jobs lined up. Her horror flick “Vampires of Hollywood” is currently in pre-production. She recently wrapped filming on the family dramas “The Slider” and “Father” as well as the action movie “The American Connection.”

Other “Sense8” cast members, including Tina Desai and Toby Onwumere, haven’t announced their next projects yet, but fans are sure to follow them. The “Sense8” audience is nothing if not loyal.

However, the dedicated audience hopes to see the actors return to “Sense8.” Fans are currently trying to convince Netflix to bring the series back. They’ve started Twitter campaigns and petitions. Read more about their efforts HERE.
