A developer at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London has developed a Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) Glass app that he hopes will change the way people have sex. Called “Sex with Google Glass,” the app combines many of the functions of Google Glass to give people “the whole picture” of their sex lives.
By saying “ok Glass, it’s time,” the Google Glass-wearing lovers get a live stream of what their partner is sees. A smartphone’s camera can also be used to capture even more angles. To turn the stream off, users just have to say “ok Glass, pull out,” because, of course, that’s how you would turn the app off.
Sex with Google Glass doesn’t end there. If users have connected electronic devices in their home, they can use the Sex with Google Glass app to control lights and music. The “ok Glass, give me ideas” command will even do a search for Karma Sutra positions and display them.
At the end of the night, Sex with Google Glass can pull all of the footage together to create a home video. To keep it safe, Sex with Google Glass is designed to delete the video forever after five hours, similar to apps like Snapchat.
“Having sex with Google Glass on brings a completely new perspective,” Sex with Google Glass said on its website, explaining why the team decided to build an app dedicated to sex.
“We want to change the way people experience things. We love using design and strategy to disrupt at scale. So when we asked ourselves the question ‘How can we make sex more awesome with Google Glass?’ We came up with ‘Sex with Glass.’”
No word yet on when Sex with Google Glass will be available for Google Glass, but the team has a free iPhone app, called “Glance,” in the works that will be released first. Interested loves can sign up to be among the first to try the iPhone version of Sex with Glass.
There is some concern over whether or not Google will allow Sex with Google Glass on the Google Play store. Google has maintained a strict anti-porn stance for Glass, and previously banned a porn app called “Tits and Glass” that allowed users to take and share point-of-view pictures and videos.
Considering Sex with Google Glass is intended for personal use only, it may be allowed by Google’s guidelines.
