Out with the old, in with the new. That’s Frank’s motto in Season 7, episode 3 of “Shameless.”

The Gallagher patriarch has disowned six of his seven children and is looking for replacements in Sunday’s episode, titled “Home Sweet Homeless Shelter.” Back out on the streets fending for himself, he heads to a housing facility for youth and adults with no place to go. Once there, Frank (William H. Macy) will take his pick of the shelter’s inhabitants to take the place of his kids. With a new, more loyal band of Gallaghers in tow, he will return to his old neighborhood to wreak havoc on his family and the rest of Chicago’s south side.

While Frank rebuilds his family unit, Carl (Ethan Cutkosky), Ian (Cameron Monaghan), Fiona (Emmy Rossum), and the rest of the gang are dealing with problems of their own. Carl’s brief foray into a sexual relationship with Dominique (Jaylen Barron) will be cut short when his world is rocked by a sexually transmitted infection scare. Ian is having girl-related boy troubles as well. After learning that boyfriend Caleb (Jeff Pierre) has been having sex with an old high school girlfriend he breaks off their romance, which will hit him hard during the episode. Ever the fixer, Fiona will pour all her energy into helping her siblings get their acts together, which could cost her Patsy’s.
