Shark Week Wednesday
An oceanic White Tip Shark. Discovery Channel

Shark Week is already halfway through, but it isn’t winding down yet! Wednesday night will be filled with new Discovery Channel specials about the oceanic creatures. Tonight’s lineup won’t just deal with scary sharks, though. It’ll showcase dolphins and end with some information on shark conservation from a “Fuller House” star.

“Wrath of a Great White Serial Killer: Sharkopedia Edition”

8-9 p.m. EDT

If you tuned in Tuesday and loved “Wrath of the Great White Serial Killer,” check out the “Sharkopedia Edition.” The special follows shark experts Ralph Collier and Brandon McMillan as they try to determine why sharks have started populating the Pacific Northwest. “Sharkopedia” adds even more trivia to the hour.

“Deadliest Shark”

9–10 p.m. EDT

Dr. Michael Domeier and Dr. Barry Bruce aren’t sure oceanic white tip sharks deserve their bad reputation as the “world’s deadliest shark.” The scientists research, look at historical evidence and go diving with them in the Bahamas and Hawaii.

“Sharks vs. Dolphins: Face Off”

10–11 p.m. EDT

It’s the ocean’s most feared creature against the ocean’s most loved mammal in this special. Scientists are studying the relationship between dolphins and sharks, and their coexistence often usually doesn’t go well for dolphins. Dr. Mike Heithaus and his team of researchers have new evidence for why sharks attack dolphins, leaving them scarred or dead. A sneak-peek video from “Sharks vs. Dolphins: Face Off” below reveals that dolphins aren’t always defenseless:

“Shark After Dark”

11–11:30 p.m. EDT

“Hostel” director Eli Roth is hosting this Shark Week after-show every night this week. On Wednesday, he’ll welcome “Fuller House” star and “The View” co-host Candace Cameron Bure and Navy diver Paul De Gelder. The two will tell viewers how to avoid sharks and discuss shark conservation efforts.
