Sinead O'Connor and her husband have called it quits - for good, it seems -- but the Irish singer appears to be keeping her spirits up.

She blasted the Irish media on her blog on Friday, blaming it for ruining her marriage to Barry Herridge.

Certain sections of our media are pure evil, O'Connor wrote. These people, along with others caused enormous damage deliberately and maliciously to my innocent flower of a husband, purely because he was with me. And so his association with me became something very bad for his life.

She wrote that while the media pressure has taken a toll on her health, she expects to recover quickly.

I am now temporarily back on meds but am assured by psychiatrist I am not bi polar [sic] and do not need to be on meds for longer than a few months just to lift me out of what depths I was dragged down to since the mis- treatment [sic] of my husband and therefore destruction of our marriage began, she wrote. So I will be fine again within days.

The blog post comes shortly after the 45-year-old singer announced a reconciliation with her husband. She tweeted on Jan. 3 that she spent a beautiful evening of love making with him.

But now she's calling the marriage off for good. She alleged that one particular paper resulted in very serious damage to my husband and myself personally and wrote that she hopes the media will now leave him alone.

I will never again associate myself romantically with anyone as I could not bear to see these things done again to someone I love, she wrote.

O'Connor seems to be looking on the bright side of life, however. At least that's how her Twitter feed reads.

She tweeted about a recent airport experience: OMG! There's an actual beautiful bar where u can smoke in terminal one!!!! I never knew! Happy girl. Coffee, fags.

She was especially enthused by airport security: And tonnes [UK spelling of 'tons'] of men removing their belts at security! Sexiest place on earth. What is sexier than a man taking off his belt?

O'Connor even joked about pursuing a new career path.

Think must get airport security job, she tweeted.
