Skoda Auto launched its C-segment sedan Rapid last week.
The car comes with a price tag starting with Rs 6.75 lakh for the base petrol variant. The top of the line diesel model will cost Rs 9.19 lakh.

The diesel version of the car is available with a manual transmission only while the petrol version will be assimilated with a manual and automatic transmission. It has been introduced in three variants - Active, Ambition and Elegance. Also 5 different colour schemes - brilliant silver, candy white, cappuccino beige, deep black pearl and flash red - are available.
Skoda Auto India, which is part of the auto conglomerate Volkswagen and the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, is hoping that the Rapid would probably surface as its best-selling car in India in the days to come.
The Skoda Rapid could turn out to be fast paced contender in the current crop of premium sedans here in India.
Its distinctly fresh, young, smart and clear-cut design makes Rapid a well-balanced car and therefore successfully fills the gap between SKODA Fabia and the current Laura, said Kuehl.
The Rapid is positioned as a family car, compact enough for the city and spacious enough for longer trips, he added.
