South Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries Co., said on Monday it had won an order worth about $600 million to build a drillship for a company in the Americas.

We won the deal over the weekend, a Samsung Heavy spokesman said by telephone.

On Friday, Samsung said it had secured a 551.4 billion won ($597.1 million) order to build a drillship for a different company in the Americas.
