Ichabod Crane is continuing his demon hunting days in 2017. Fox announced in a press release that “Sleepy Hollow” Season 4 will premiere on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 at 9 p.m. EDT.

Season 4 will kick off after FBI Agent Abbie Mills’ (Nicole Beharie) tragic death. Her partner and fellow witness Ichabod (Tom Mison) will continue the good fight against evil supernatural creatures by searching for the second witness with the help of Abbie’s sister, Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood).

Crane will also move to Washington, D.C. where he will meet two new allies. Jake Wells (Jerry MacKinnon) joins the demon hunters as an expert on all supernatural events. He catalogues strange events in an archive in Washington. The former Oxford professor also befriends an engineering prodigy named Alex Norwood (Rachel Melvin).

Fox replaced Beharie’s Mills with Secret Service Agent Diana (Janina Gavankar). She also has a 10-year-old daughter named Molly Thomas (Oona Yaffe).

While many new faces will be seen in Fox’s “Sleepy Hollow” in 2017, two familiar faces will pop up. Henry Parrish (John Noble), Crane and Katrina’s (Katia Winter) son will appear in Season 4. Also, fan-favorite character the Headless Horseman (Neil Jackson), will pop by. This season’s main villain – an eccentric billionaire named Malcom Dreyfuss (Jeremy Davies) – will try to get the Headless Horseman to do his bidding.

Furthermore, Crane and his band of apocalypse hunters will be working for a secret, supernatural organization in the Capitol. They also have a secret archive which Wells catalogues.

Season 4 is currently filming in Atlanta. This will be first season without Beharie.

“Sleepy Hollow” Season 4, episode 1, titled “Columbia,” premieres on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox.
