Sleepy Hollow” will continue to ride the witness train full steam ahead despite Nicole Beharie’s exit when FBI Agent Abbie Mills died in the Season 3 finale. Fox has replaced Beharie with “True Blood” alum Janina Gavankar in Season 4 and moved the setting of the supernatural series from Sleepy Hollow in New York to Washington, D.C.

Gavankar shared a photo on Instagram that will give “Sleepy Hollow” fans a glimpse into the chemistry between her character and fellow witness Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison). The duo attended Atlanta-based Dragon Con, which was held on the weekend before Labor Day.

Gavankar captioned the photo, “After standing in line at Dragon Con, I finally got my one-on-one photo with Tom Mison.”

The “True Blood” actress will play a Secret Service Agent and mother-of-one named Diana. She and Ichabod will team up to fight demons and prevent the apocalypse in the upcoming season.

“Sleepy Hollow” has also added several new characters on the show, including “Lost” alum Jeremy Davies in a villainous role, Oona Yaffe as Diana’s 10-year-old daughter Molly Thomas, Rachel Melvin as engineering prodigy Alex Norwood and Jerry MacKinnon as Jake Wells, a person who catalogues supernatural phenomena in Washington.

Despite the not-so-great ratings of Season 3, Fox decided to renew “Sleepy Hollow” after the series’ creative team pitched new characters and situations for Crane, TVLine reports. Fox entertainment president David Madden said that the first seven scripts are really fun and that there are a lot of good stories to tell in the upcoming season.

“Sleepy Hollow” Season 4 airs in midseason, sometime in early 2017, on Fox.
