Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is a midrange smartphone from the Japanese tech giant that comes with impressive specs and features. It was first unveiled during the Mobile World Congress 2015 tech event that was held at the beginning of March. Now the device is available for purchase in the U.K.

The most attractive feature of the Xperia M4 Aqua is that its chassis is resistant to dust, water and scratch. In the U.K., the Xperia M4 Aqua is available with Carphone Warehouse at its retail outlets as well as online, reports Android Central.

As of this writing, only the black color variant of the Xperia M4 Aqua is available from the retailer. The other color options, such as white and coral variants, are expected to arrive in the next month. The retailer is selling the M4 Aqua for £15.50 ($24) per month with zero up-front payment.

The Xperia M4 Aqua comes with a 5-inch HD screen that supports a display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It supports a pixel density of 294 ppi. The display is protected by scratch-resistant glass.

Thanks to IP68 certification, the device remains undamaged if it is immersed in water 1.5 meters in depth for 30 minutes. It is powered by Snapdragon 615 chipset that contains an octa-core processor producing a clocking speed of 1.5 GHz and has Adreno 405 graphics. The SoC is supported by 2GB of RAM.

The M4 Aqua is available in two internal storage variants such as 8GB and 16GB. The external storage supports up to 32GB of microSD. There is a 13MP camera on its rear side, and the front features a 5MP selfie camera. The device comes preinstalled with Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The phone comes with plenty of connectivity features, such as Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, 3G, A-GPS, v4.1 Bluetooth and more. It is equipped with a nonremovable battery of 2,400 mAh capacity. On 3G, it can deliver a standby time of 685 hours and talktime of more than 12 hours, according to the tech specs listing on GSM Arena.
