On “Star” Season 1, episode 12, Big Trouble will finally perform at Atlanta NextFest where they can win a recording contract and begin their journey to fame. But the Fox series is not known for giving its characters happiness which means viewers will see the girls fight for their dreams in “Showtime.”

“Star (Jude Demorest) deals with the aftermath of Hunter’s (Chad James Buchanan) actions,” the finale synopsis teases. Last viewers saw of the hot-headed couple was Hunter hitting Star in the face so hard he left a bruise on her forehead.

Fans of the Fox series later saw Star cover up her bruise with makeup. Will she forgive the rich football player for putting his hands on her once again?

From the looks of the promo for “Star” Season 1, episode 12, Star has an opportunity to win Atlanta NextFest, which means she could have her own money and won’t need Hunter’s handouts anymore.

“Derek (Quincy Brown) and Alex struggle to make a decision about their future,” the synopsis says. In the last episode of “Star” not only did Alex learn that she is pregnant, but Derek found out he may never walk again. Trying to raise a baby while juggling a music career may be difficult for the young couple.

“The girls put the finishing touches on their routine as Atlanta NextFest approaches,” the synopsis states. The Fox promo shows the group performing as a trio which means it is likely that the girls kicked Eva (Sharlene Taulé) out of the group.

Simone previously found out the Jahil (Benjamin Bratt) lied to them about Eva having to be in the group because he signed them up as a four person group and it looks like the three ladies cut off the scheming diva.

“Carlotta (Queen Latifah) wants to mend broken relationships,” the synopsis says. It’s no secret that Carlotta and Cotton (Amiyah Scott) haven’t been seeing eye to but could the mother and daughter finally make amends?

Cotton has been jealous of all the attention Carlotta gives to Simone and Star which she still does, according to the promo but maybe this time around Cotton will actually give her mother another chance to make things right.

The “Star” Season 1 finale airs Wednesday , March 15, at 9:01 p.m. EST on Fox.
