John Boyega almost missed the premiere of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” in Los Angeles due to the bad weather in Atlanta.

The actor couldn’t leave the city due to the thick snow. On his Twitter account, Boyega told his fans that he’s worried he might not be able to show up at the premiere. The actor plays the role of Finn in the “Star Wars” franchise.

In a follow up tweet, Boyega urged someone to send a plane to him so he could be transported to Los Angeles in time for the premiere.

According to Deadline, the actor arrived at the Shrine Auditorium in Hollywood just in time for premiere. Five to 12 inches of snow have been dumped on Atlanta’s metro area due to the storm.

Boyega updated his Twitter followers the minute he arrived in Los Angeles, but he also told them that he got to the venue without his luggage. After showering and dressing up for the red carpet premiere, Boyega spoke with the publication with a huge smile on his face.

“Poe Dameron is the best pilot in the galaxy!” he said.

Meanwhile, Boyega’s character, Finn, was first introduced in “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.” At that time, he was a Stormtrooper who reformed and became part of the Resistance.

While speaking with Digital Spy, the 25-year-old actor dished on his role, as well as Finn and Rey’s (Daisy Ridley) relationship.

“For me, being cast in the film was definitely special. I had seven months of auditions and training and chemistry reads. After all that; after I booked the part, that’s when I really felt like I was going to be part of a bigger world,” he said.

Unfortunately, a relationship between Finn and Rey wouldn’t be the main focus in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”

“Everything is being shifted in the opposite way to what the audience expected after ‘Star Wars: Episode VII.’ What’s happening with Rey and Finn? They are separate in this film. It’s like two separate stories. Rey is off doing her lightsaber stuff in the mountains somewhere and Finn is on a new adventure,” he explained.
