Valve Corp.’s Steam holiday sale has become somewhat of a tradition in the online video game community. While gamers are anxiously awaiting the holiday sale, Steam has something to whet their appetite in the meantime -- the 2013 Steam Halloween Sale.

Similar to its larger sibling event that will happen later, the Steam Halloween Sale offers several games at a steep discount. The main difference is all of the games offered are creepy or horror themed in celebration of Halloween.

If you’re looking for a good scare this Halloween, or even just looking to pick up several games at a steal, this would be a good time to pick up a few more games to add to your collection.

Some of the games on sale that will have you hiding under the covers include “Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs” for $13.99; its predecessor, “Amnesia: The Dark Descent,” for $4.99; “Slender: The Arrival” for $7.99 and even the “Left 4 Dead” series for $7.49.

For the more-adventurous types, “Bioshock” and “Bioshock 2” can be had for $9.99. “Sleeping Dogs” is available at the criminally cheap price of $4.99. Hundreds of other games are also available during the Steam Halloween Sale, which ends on Nov. 1.

More games to look out for include:

Natural Selection 2 $6.24

Dead Space and Dead Space 2 $9.99

Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition $4.99

Fallout: New Vegas $4.99

Darksiders II $9.99

Devil May Cry 3 $6.79
