Samsung has introduced the stylishly designed Galaxy Tab S2, and it is considered the slimmest and lightest metal frame-clad tablet of its size in the market. This tablet features cutting-edge configurations, guaranteeing powerful performance and enhanced usability. The slate’s features have been improved by keeping the productivity and multitasking aspects in mind, notes Samsung Mobile Press. A hands-on video of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has reportedly been uploaded in YouTube.

Samsung has taken the first step to shake up the tablet sector by releasing the world's thinnest tablet, namely the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and the jumbo sibling Galaxy Tab S2 9.7. Both these tablets reportedly measure only 5.6 mm. The smaller tablet weighs 265 g, while the bigger one measures 389 g. The icing on the cake, however, is the metallic chassis of the tablet, notes Phone Arena.

The Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 will be competing head-on with impressive counterparts, the Apple iPad Air 2 and Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet. Notably, the hands-on video highlights the beauty of the Galaxy Tab S2 tablets by showcasing the vivid Super AMOLED display clad with 2K screen resolution.

Both Galaxy Tab S2 variants come powered by an octa-core Samsung Exynos processor and backed by a solid 3 GB of RAM. They run on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The slates sport a good 8 MP rear-facing camera, which is capable of recording 4K videos and a good-enough 2.1 MP shooter at the front for selfies and video chats. Plus, the devices come as 32 GB and 64 GB variants with expandable memory option of up to 128 GB. Lastly, a killer 5,870 mAh battery unit keeps the lights on in the 9.7-inch Tab S2 variant, whereas the 8.0-inch variant settles for 4,000 mAh unit, notes Samsung Mobile Press.
