The forthcoming Will Smith movie “Suicide Squad,” now being shot in Toronto, will feature a team of villains executing a dangerous task. Director David Ayer recently spoke about the film and his method of making it.

Besides Smith, “Suicide Sqaud” features Academy Award-winner Jared Leto and -nominee Viola Davis, as well as Joel Kinnaman, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne. They play imprisoned supervillains who are hired by a secret agency for a dangerous "black ops" mission, in exchange for clemency.

Smith plays a character named Deadshot, but one of the most anticipated characters is Joker. That character is being played by Leto, who has dyed his hair blonde for the role.

The film is “about real drama, real performance and real people," Ayer said, adding that there's “very real chemistry” among the cast.

"My twist on this is, I'm creating a family, I'm creating a brotherhood here," Ayer told Entertainment City. The 47-year-old filmmaker added that the actors play “three-dimensional characters.”

Meanwhile, a video clip shared by Entertainment City hints that DC Comics character Hawkman may appear in the film, Hollywood Reporter wrote. According to comic books, Hawkman is a reincarnation of the ancient Egyptian prince Khufu and carries archaic weaponry. He has wings attached to his body that allow him to fly. The character first appeared in Flash comic No. 1. But there is no official confirmation that Hawkman will appear in the completed "Suicide Squad" film.

Production will continue through August of this year, with release scheduled for Aug. 5, 2016.
