“Suits” 100th episode has wrapped filming.

Series star Patrick J. Adams took to Instagram on Friday to share that the cast and crew of the legal drama were done shooting all scenes for the landmark episode. Adams, who plays Mike Ross on the USA Network series, wrote that he’s honored to direct the milestone installment, before revealing that he has a “good feeling” about it.

Adams, who has previously directed three episodes of “Suits,” revealed that directing the 100th episode was sort of an accident on his part. “I fought for it because it was the eighth episode of the season and that happens to be the one that usually works best,” Adams told Entertainment Tonight at the ATX Television Festival last month in Austin, Texas. “I didn’t know that it was the 100th episode. Then [‘Suits’ executive producers] called me and went, ‘You know you’re asking to direct the 100th episode, right?’”

After finding out that Season 7, episode 8 was actually the show’s 100th episode, the 38-year-old actor admitted that he had second thoughts of helming it. “I started to back away from it and think, ‘Whoa, whoa — maybe somebody else should do that [episode]? I shouldn’t do that,’” he recalled. “And then I took a second to think about it and I said, ‘Actually, no — I think I’m ready to do that if you guys would let me,’ and they let me.”

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, series creator Aaron Korsh opened up about how he approached the momentous episode. “We always try to make the best episode we can,” Korsh said when asked if he tackled the 100th episode differently. “I don’t care what episode it is, you’re trying to make the best episode you can. So, I didn’t want to approach it totally from the perspective of, ‘This is 100, it has to be some outstanding thing.’ [But] even though I didn’t want to approach it from that standpoint, I definitely said, ‘Look, this is 100th episode. Let’s try to do some things that are little bit more special if we can, when we can.’ Hopefully, people are going to love it.”

“Suits” 100th episode is slated to air on Wednesday, Aug. 30 at 9 p.m. EDT on USA Network.
