A lot of actors have come and gone on “Suits,” but since the USA series is fond of bringing back past characters either for a new story arc or for a flashback scene, everyone who has appeared on the show is always possible return. Each member of the main cast certainly has their own pick on which actors they would like see on the show again, and it happened that Meghan Markle has just named one.
In a recent Instagram post, Markle revealed that she would like to see Abigail Spencer reprise her role as Dana Scott, also known as Scottie, on the show. While Markle wasn’t sure when that could happen, she encouraged her Instagram followers to support Spencer’s new NBC series “Timeless.”
“My heart feels full after seeing this one. Love you @abigailspencer,” Markle captioned a photo with Spencer on a street in New York. “Bring back Scottie to @suits_usa (but also catch her new show @nbctimeless this October!).”
Aside from the hashtag #NY, Markle — who plays Rachel Zane on “Suits” — also added #birthdaysoulsisters at the end of her post, as she and Spencer were both born on Aug. 4, 1981.
Spencer also shared a pic from their reunion. “Always blown away by this beauty. We hold on to each other. #nyc @meghanmarkle ❤❤❤ #birthdaysoulsister,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside the snapshot.
Spencer has appeared in 13 episodes of “Suits.” She returned as Scottie last season for two episodes. It’s unclear, however, whether the actress would return for Season 6 as she’s currently a series regular on “Timeless,” in which she plays Lucy Preston — a history professor who teams up with soldier Wyatt Logan (Matt Lanter) and scientist Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) to stop time-traveling criminal Goran Visnjic (Garcia Flynn) from rewriting American history. The new sci-fi series will premiere on Monday, Oct. 3 at 10/9c.
“Jessica [Gina Torres] and Rachel fight to save Leonard Bailey’s [Glenn Plummer] life; and Harvey [Gabriel Macht] and Louis [Rick Hoffman] try to convince their oldest and most loyal client to stay in an attempt to keep other PSL clients from jumping ship.”
