“Suits” star Patrick J. Adams took to social media to share what had happened during the first day of his latest directorial gig for the hit USA legal drama.

Adams is directing Season 6, episode 11 of “Suits,” and in response to a tweet from a fan, Adams revealed that the first day of filming went well.

“First day was today,” the 35-year-old actor tweeted on Friday, Sept. 9. “Went really well I think. Gonna be a strong episode. Love our cast and crew.”

“Suits” newcomer Carly Pope, who portrays Tara Messer on the show, also took to Twitter to express what she thinks of Adam as a director.

Adams responded to Pope’s post with an emoji-filled tweet.

The Canadian actor, who plays Mike Ross on the series, also shared a couple of behind-the-scenes photos from the set.

“I have the hat and the binder. Must be the real deal,” he captioned a photo of himself wearing a cap that has the word “director” on it.

The “Legends of Tomorrow” actor also shared a pic of a digital clapperboard that shows his name as the director of the episode.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Adams explained why he wanted to direct the winter premiere.

“This one I wanted to do just because I thought it would be fun to do more of a premiere episode, coming back and reintroducing the characters and starting the world fresh after this whole prison thing,” he said. “That to me seemed really exciting. I wanted that opportunity, and they said it was a go.”

As to what fans can expect from the episode, Adams said: “In general it’s setting us off on this path of what’s next for everybody. Mike is desperately searching for where he’s going to fit next and realizing that even though he’s paid the price and done his time that it’s still something that’s going to get in the way of him accomplishing his dreams now. He can’t really shake the fact that he was sent to prison. It’s a great episode.”

Adams has already directed two episodes of “Suits” in the past. He directed Episode 14 of Season 4, titled “Derailed,” and Episode 14 of Season 5, titled “Self Defense.”

“Suits” Season 6 winter premiere is expected to air early in 2017. Meanwhile, “Suits” Season 6, Episode 10 — the summer finale — titled “P.S.L.,” airs on Wednesday, Sept 14, at 9 p.m. on USA Network. Check out the synopsis and preview clip for the episode below:
